Holiday Inn Express & Suites White Haven - Poconos by IHG

Very good hotel overall (7.7/10). Stayed 3 nights in April. Nice, good sized room. The room had a standard layout but with a very good use of space. Everything worked as it should. Very comfy bed. Bathroom was a good size. Shower was good, but the water pressure is just ok. Walls are thin, but getting a room facing the parking lot will help to reduce the highway noise. Breakfast was very good (for context, I'm satisfied with a bowl of cereal or some toast). Despite having prepaid the booking I was charged again, but this was rectified. Very nice location, and one that works well as a base for Jim Thorpe and the surrounding area. There are some walkable food options but for part at least you'll be walking on the shoulder of the road as there are no sidewalks. I would definitely stay again, as for the price paid ($76 total per night) it was great value.

Prime location for those traveling through the area. Clean, comfortable rooms in excellent condition. Service was top notch with friendly positive experiences with the entire staff from the front desk agents to the housekeepers.

Good, clean rooms with newer furniture and fixtures. Only downside was the HVAC system which cycles on and off. I'm sure there was a way to stop that while continuing to maintain the desired temperature, but I didn't know how to do that.

Excellent service and team. We arrived amidst the snow storm. Lauren and Laurie went above and beyond settling us in; made us feel right at home. Exactly how a hotel welcome is supposed to feel like. Thank you

This room was actually really great. Being an aware and paranoid traveler I am always concerned about bedbugs. There was ZERO evidence and with the beds having metal frameworks I don't see where they could even live. Aside of that the room felt and looked very modern. Breakfast was meager but sufficient we ate in the common area. My only gripe as always is the cleanliness of the shower. Not terrible but I would expect better. And as for the location, that being the middle of nowhere. I would absolutely stay here again all things being equal.

This is a property in need of some help. I waited about 10 minutes for the desk clerk to make an appearance even though 3 other staff told him I was waiting. The area as I got off if the elevator had major damage to the wall. The room was ok, but there was some white substance on the ottoman. The pool was very cloudy and the attached hot tub water was brown. There was no way I was going in that.

We love staying here, the rooms are clean and modern. amenities are a great value especially for the area. Its location is in close proximity to many popular activities in the Poconos, and the staff is very accommodating and helpful. They go above and beyond! Also wanted to note, if you are an IHG member they take notice very promptly and do so much to show their appreciation 5/5!

I stay here for work, and I'm always able to check-in early because the staff makes sure my room is ready for me. Great staff, clean, comfortable, and accommodating.
